Hungary, 1990s. The collapse of the Soviet Union opens up new opportunities for the free world and national borders together with it. After discovering a loophole in the system, struggling youngsters start forging international train tickets. Fear of the consequences is taken over by the desire to see the world. A few forged tickets grow into a massive project that thousands of Hungarians take advantage of. Pelikan Blue is a unique documentary based on archive radio interviews, rendered in creative and witty animation. The story is gripping, like a good detective story, as you look forward to the climax of a wild adventure.
