Bogdanas Longs To Stay

The film tells the story of young people in a social rehabilitation centre who have been sent there for minor offences. Aggression and physical force are almost the only means of communication for these teenagers. "I inherited drawing from my mother and a criminal record from my real father", jokes one of them. Here, they are banned from the internet, telephones, cigarettes, alcohol and other drugs. They can't meet girls or go out on the town. The boys are counting the days until their summer holidays, when they will finally be free. Only Bogdan refuses to go home. Physically strong but gentle and curious, he is afraid to look his mother in the eye. The black-and-white shots of the film reveal the dark side of the boys' lives and their very uncertain future.
