Diego returns home and reunite with his brothers after their ninety-three year old grandmother, América, falls from her bed, causing their father to be jailed under accusation of elder neglect. Despite the clash over money and communication between the brothers, América’s illness brings the family back together. Facing the challenges of elderly care, they don’t lose hope in love and human relationships.

Erick Stoll and Chase Whiteside
Stoll and Whiteside co-founded the political web series New Left Media, which documented conservative and progressive movements during the Obama presidency. Their short “Lifelike” won Best Doc Short at DocuFest Atlanta. “América” is their first feature film.
