All movies

2nd Programme ("Antigravitation", "Flying Over Blue Field", "Harbour", "Alone", Lithuania, 66’)

Antigravitation

An isolated village in the Lithuanian countryside. Seated in her house, an elderly woman recites an old folk story. Then she climbs up the tall ladder that takes her to the rooftop of the church. Through her eyes we see the whole village from up high, immense, that is changing with the changing of the seasons. How does the world appear from such an altitude?

Flying Over Blue Field

A man sits alone in a plane built at home, and keeps his balance between life and death. During his flight, immense landscapes pass by, half-deserted streets. Silence and wait in gare all around. A film about solitude in the endless sky.

Harbour

Filmed in the Birštonas sanatorium, “Harbour” observes the treatments provided to bodies in a series of rigorously composed static shots.Spa reveals strange ancestral rites. The film is silent impression about the harbour of tired bodies and souls.

Alone

A crew films a child during the trips she takes to visit her mother in prison. The simplicity of the approach, the power of the questioning: to what extent can one interfere in someone’s distress?
