Lucky Year

Laima is 23-years-old. She lives with her husband and her son in a shabby old house by the noisy motorway, and she is expecting her second child. While being busy with her daily routine, she openly talks about the distressful childhood that she had, without showing any emotion. This young woman loves and cares about her family, and her animals, and tries hard to create a harmonious life for them. If you ever wondered what you needed to be happy, Laima’s answer is always, “I’m good with the things I have”. This film turns its gaze on those people whose severe and fragile lives are of little concern to others.

Awards
