Special Programme  

It is a documentary portrait of a Lithuanian Jewish writer and literary critic Jacob Josadė. The film manages to subtly strech beyond an individual story and reveal a broader context of Lithuania after its newly regained independence. Rendered through abstract imagery, the contemplations of the generation sinking into oblivion appear as familiar to the existence of a contemporary man.

Kornelijus Matuzevičius
 
In 1971 he graduated from Russian State Institute of Cinematography as a cameraman. Since 1970 he has been working at Lithuanian Film Studio as a director of photography for documentary film productions. He has shot somewhere about 70 documentary films. For the films created together with Henrikas Šablevičius he was awarded the Lithuanian National Prize in 1990.

Diana Matuzevičienė
 
Studied at Stepas Žukas Arts and Crafts Polytechnic, attended the Juozas Miltinis‘s drama studio, studied Directing at Leningrad StateTheatre, Music and Cinematography Institute. She worked at the Lithuanina Film Studio as an assistant director and participated in groups making feature, educational and documentary films with Robertas Verba, Linas Lazėnas, Viktoras Starošas, Henrikas Šablevičius, Raimondas Vabalas, Algirdas Araminas and others. Since 1990 she has been making documentary films with Kornelijus Matuzevičius.
