Yesterday will Be Tomorrow

A camera in the hands of a young care home worker does not disturb the residents – on the contrary, it arouses their interest and curiosity. Their short encounters with it emanating with wisdom, irony, love and hope create a colourful yet fragile mosaic of life.

Janina Lapinskaitė

Was born in Šiauliai, Lithuania. In 1970-1975 studied directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Since 1975 worked at the Lithuanian National Radio and Television where she is now the head of the Department of Film and Television. For the last decade has been making documentary films and teaching film directing. Her films have received various international awards.
