One of Robertas Verba’s most celebrated films recounts how the musicians and singers of Lithuania gather at the Song Festival in Vilnius. Watching the film, we become witnesses of what is going on behind the scene, the rehearsals, and funny misunderstandings. The film studio said said that each time the film was shown, the hall was full to the brim because there is no way it will ever be enough to watch this film. Albinas Šukelis, he described it as such - “let’s put it plain and simple – he wanted to show Lithuania and its people so that they would not disappear. It was what he lived for.”
