World Champion

83-year old Herbert Sepp was schooled during the first Republic of Estonia, deported to Siberia as a young boy and later returned, but it’s here the common grounds ends with his contemporaries. Herbert stands on his head, does handsprings and he is the best Estonian senior sportsman in the pole vault in his age group. Herbert's achievements already include a silver medal from the European Championships. But Finland is preparing to host the World Senior Championship games and his dream is to place his name next to a World Champion title and break the world record in the pole vault. Herbert is not afraid to dream, but does he have what it takes to make his dreams come true?

Moonika Siimets

She was born in Tartu, Estonia in 1980, and studied Estonian folklore and literature at Tartu University. She graduated from the Film and Video Department of the University of Tallinn. She has made several short feature and documentary films and directed TV programmes for Estonian National Television. Her BA graduation film Deus ex Maxina was awarded at the Gestures of Reconciliation short film competition organized by the Goethe Institute. She has also served as the head of the Sleepwalkers Student Film Festival. Presently she works as a journalist and freelance filmmaker.
